First steps on the ice through play — safely, in a small group or one-on-one, with an instructor. From the basics to skating backwards, and for keen kids: figure skating.
Technique that grows with your child
Children learn fastest when they are having fun — so we mix technical drills with games and challenges on the ice. At the same time, from the very first class we work on a correct stance and falling safely, because that is the foundation for everything that follows.
The youngest children usually start at around 4. Not sure if your child is ready? Call us — we will advise whether to begin with a private lesson or join a group straight away.
The instructor sets the pace — every child develops differently and we never rush anyone.
The 2026/2027 ice season starts in December. We confirm the rink and class times individually when you sign up.

We tell you what to bring and how to choose skates — a well-fitting boot is half the battle.
The instructor meets your child at the rink and guides them through the first steps.
Rink entry and skate rental are paid according to the rink’s own price list.

Parents’ questions
Usually at around 4 — by then a child stands steadily, follows simple instructions and enjoys playing on the ice. For younger kids we suggest a short private lesson to get used to the ice.
Yes — at Zone4Skating classes children skate in a helmet. A ski or bike helmet works; what matters most is a good fit.
No — during the class the instructor looks after your child. A parent is needed on site before and after the class (children up to 13 may be at the rink only under adult supervision). In a lesson for 2–3 people a parent can also skate together with the child.
That is common and completely normal. We start calmly at the boards, with play and learning to fall — the fear goes away once a child feels that falling is no big deal.
