Ice-skating
lessons
for adults

It is never too late. We will start from zero — no stress, no judgement and at a pace that suits you. Private lessons (also for two) or an adult group.

from zerostress-freelessons and groupsseason from December

Who it is for

For those who always wanted to, but never had the chance

Adult classes are not a shortened version of kids’ classes. Adults learn differently: they want to understand what they do and why. So we explain the technique, show where balance comes from and give simple cues that work straight away.

Come alone, with a partner or with friends — a lesson for 2–3 people is a great way to start together, at a lower cost per person.

What you will learn

  • A confident stance, falling safely and getting up — this takes away most of the fear.
  • Skating forwards without the boards, stopping (snowplough and side stop) and smooth turns.
  • Skating backwards and crossovers — once the basics are solid.
  • Ease at public sessions: skating in a crowd, avoiding others and stopping safely.
Where we skate
Ice rinks in Warsaw

The 2026/2027 ice season starts in December. We confirm the rink and class times individually when you sign up.

What to bring
  • Skates — your own or rented at the rink.
  • Gloves — they protect your hands when you fall.
  • Comfortable, warm layers; a helmet is recommended for the first classes.
  • Thin socks and a good attitude.

How we work

Calmly, step by step

Safety first

Learning to fall and get up right at the start — once you know a fall is no big deal, skating gets much easier.

From the boards to freedom

First steps at the boards, then short glides, and finally skating across the whole rink on your own.

No pressure

Nobody judges or compares. What matters is your comfort and your pace.

Solo, as a pair, in a group

A 1:1 lesson, a lesson for 2–3 people or a regular adult group — choose what suits you.

After-work times

Tell us in your request when you are free — we will try to match the lesson time.

A base for skiing

Balance and edge work from the ice help on the slopes and on inline skates — and we teach all three.

Pricing

A private lesson costs the same whether you come alone, as two or as three — in a small group it is cheaper per person.

Rink entry and skate rental are paid according to the rink’s own price list.

FAQ

Adults’ questions

I am 40+ and have never skated. Does it make sense?

Yes. There is no upper age limit for learning to skate — what matters is regularity and good basics, and we will build those together from the first class.

I am afraid of falling. What should I do?

We start precisely with falling and getting up — in a controlled, safe way. Gloves and a helmet for the first classes add confidence.

Private lesson or a group?

For first steps we recommend a few private lessons (also as a pair) — you will build confidence faster. Then an adult group helps you keep it regular.

Which skates should I choose?

Rental skates are fine to start. When buying, the most important things are boot fit (your heel must not lift) and sharp blades — the instructor will be happy to advise.
